Virginia Slim & The Slim Virgins

“VIRGINIA SLIM” - alias Mike Abt grew up on the banks of the Potomac River/Virginia/USA. Also raised by the loving care of Helen, a black nanny (which was not unusual in the late
50'ies/early 60'ies) who always had a bluesy chant on her lips to soothe us children..so the "infection" happened very early..

With the Slim Virgins you get a bluesband based in rootsblues & americana, a little dip of southern rock or even a little country feeling as an extra but always with deep feeling and true sweat on stage. We are very fond of a great diversity of famous blues musicians and love to interpretate their songs with our own taste of feel.

We are also working on own songs. Our program can take 3 hours of time, less is certainly no problem. We prefer to play clubs, small open air festivals, parties..whatever.. where contact to the audience is possible. We are interested in fair and decent conditions in booking, charity gigs are discussable.
